Something new and exciting we are trying this year is "Sensory-Safe Hours" during the 6 days of the fair. From 8am-9am, you can experience a much quieter grounds, with no bands or concerts playing, no crazy lights, and very minimal crowds. We have ground acts like the bubble tower, exotic animal zoo, Old MacDonald's Farm, and Tiny Town to check out and experience during the hour the gates first open!
Under 50 days away from the Dubuque County Fair... and we are getting VERY excited to have a great week of summer with you! One of our Ground Act Spotlights this week is..... Scott's Foam and Bubble Party! With an all day bubble tower, and a few hours of daily Foam Party Craziness - this is sure to be a hit for all ages! Keep your eyes on our 'daily schedule' tab on dbqfair.com to find out what hours the GLOW FOAM party will be during the week (at night)!

✨ Community Spotlight ✨ When going to community events, especially those as large as the annual county fair, sometimes we take for granted just how lucky we are to have such amazing local heroes walking among us. A few of the departments who help us keep our grounds safe, keep our patrons and community members healthy, and support everyone they meet- are Asbury Community Fire Department, CENTRALIA-PEOSTA FIRE DEPARTMENT and Dubuque County Sheriff's Office. Whether it be assisting with injuries, medical emergencies, or keeping people safe and protected - they do it all! We are so appreciative of their assistance and are more than ready for the 6 best days of summer that are quickly approaching! Make sure you thank our local EMS, Fire Departments, Law Enforcement, and Volunteer Emergency personnel for all they do! We couldn’t do it without them!
